At a Glance
Feel like doing a little gambling? Because unless you go all in and up your speed above the allowable 55 mph (90 kmh) house limit, the riding stakes on this DH might be too penny ante. Except if you're coming from the curve-washed-out Central Valley, in which case, the subtle bends in the shallow Capay Valley might make you feel like you just hit the jackpot. Going fast on a two-digit state highway can, of course, be risky to your bankroll. Especially when those black and whites flash snake eyes at you. You could play your cards close to your chest and just pass for the first two thirds of this route through farmland, then bet most of your chips on the sweepy Cache Creek Canyon section that makes up the northern third of the road. Or if this last 10 mi (16 km) of Twistiness doesn’t give you enough action, you can always shoot some craps at the Indian casino south of Brooks. After all, baby can always use a new pair of tires.
