junction with TE-A. But be forewarned. This DH is going to test
your mettle when the action starts south of Black Oak Rd. Here,
the forces of Twistiness mercilessly crunch the road in the
rocky jaws of the South Fork American River canyon, bending the
asphalt thousands of feet down to the river and back up the
closely treed west side. The climax is not only steep and tight,
it’s narrow. So please ensure you don’t get stuck behind an
Aston-Martin for the best part. And one more thing: do try and
remember that this is a state highway. SPECTRE (the SPecial
Executive for Collection, Ticketing, Revenue and Extortion)
patrols it. So you might want to pick up a radar detector from Q
