This road is called the Alice's Restaurant road, though it's not about Alice and the restaurant, so it's not the real name of the road, that's just the name of the restaurant but that's why we called it the Alice's Restaurant road. Now it all started many years ago when riders went up along the spine of the Santa Cruz Mountains for the good Pavement and Twistiness and to get away from the traffic and the crowds and the heat of the Bayatopolis metropolitan area. And ridin' along like that, they’d get some decent Scenery when they get up there, though sometimes all you can see are trees. 'Course it bein' so close to a great urban conglomeration and all, that kinda weighs on the feeling of Remoteness. And maybe they’d be a tad disappointed that the Engineering and Character aren't perfect, not that they aren't pretty good but some might think they could be better. Now friends, you gotta remember that there's lots of fast ridin' goin' on up here and you just know that kind of thing attracts Officer Obie and, well, he might put you in the back of his patrol car and take you down to the police officer station for bein' so brave and honest about how fast you were goin'. So, be careful you don’t find yourself in a pickle. ‘Cuz you always want to ride on your motorsickle.
