So, whatís on tap out of olí Hopland? Sure, the Mendocino Brewing Company can offer you specialties like Red Tail, Blue Heron, or Eye of the Hawk. But no microbrewery could produce the kind of crisp, clean, full-bodied flavor youíll find on this refreshing section of Hwy 175. This balanced mixture of yeasty Twistiness, hopped-up Scenery and often unfiltered Remoteness, this DH starts curving almost from the start, shifting past some vineyards in the Sanel Valley and climbing into the lush Mayacmas Mtns, where almost the entirety of the ride takes place. The newer asphalt, fine sightlines and cambered corners give this ride a smoothly paved and engineered finish, despite the steepness of the grade and tightness of the turns. And as long as you make them all, you wonít be left with any bad aftertaste. Try a sip of this fine brew. Youíll want to drink the whole pitcher.

'Actually took this DH in error but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We were aiming to ride to Napa down DH53 but turned the wrong way. At the end of it I pulled out DH NorCal and realised, "Hey baby, we just rode DH24"!! Twisty? Oh yeah! 1st and 2nd gear for the most of it on the BMW LT, 2 up. When cresting over the ridge the views were awesome. I would rate TIRES as bang on. Great job gentlemen, keep up the good work!' --Rob Dyck

'We live in Lakeport and take this DH as a shortcut to get to Hwy 101. It's fantastic! Watch out for big rigs that aren't supposed to be on it. Warning, if the CHP STCs are up in the air, they count how many times you go over the yellow line passing pylons and give you a ticket when you reach the end.' --Linda Armstrong
